About Thrill & Chill Zone – Family Fun Center
Thrill & Chill Zone is New Town’s newest destination for unforgettable family fun, built with the vision of bringing entertainment, connection, and opportunity to the community. The MHA Nation has repurposed a 27,500 sq. ft. premanufactured metal building—originally built in 2007 and once home to SHOPKO—into a vibrant Family Entertainment Center designed for children, families, and visitors of all ages.
Located at the busy intersection of College Drive and Highway 23, Thrill & Chill Zone serves not only New Town but also guests visiting the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation and the surrounding region. This project is more than a facility—it’s an investment in community, recreation, and local economic growth. By establishing a variety of attractions and services under one roof, this venue will also create new job opportunities and support long-term community development.
Inside, visitors will discover 11 unique attractions that blend dining, gaming, adventure, and entertainment. From high-energy activities to relaxing spaces to unwind, Thrill & Chill Zone offers something for everyone. Safety and health were key priorities throughout the design process, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and secure experience for all guests.
The MHA Nation intends to own and operate the Family Entertainment Center upon completion, continuing its commitment to providing valuable amenities for families and future generations.
The transformation also includes significant improvements to the property. Site work will add parking availability, reconstruct drive areas, and repair damaged surfaces for smoother access. Water and sewer lines are being relocated to the west side of the building, and a screened concrete utility courtyard will house propane, trash services, and a standby generator. Together, these enhancements ensure a modern, efficient, and welcoming environment inside and out.
